Thanks for the giveaway! I have loved pleats since middle school where our school uniforms included knife pleat skirts. Just so much fun to wear. I don't usually add them to things, though, since they are difficult. Maybe I just need to learn a better way!

Because they are tactile and crisp.

Pleats reminds me of pleated skirts that were worn in the old days. They always looked so prim and property and the pleats always stayed in place. Thank you for being a part of the Sew Mama Sew giveaway and giving me the chance to win a free pattern for Pleated Apple Quilt. I have a great grandson that needs a new quilt and this is really cute.

I use pleats quite a lot when I'm making purses. I've never thought of using them in a quilt. I like pleats because they add volume and texture and can make solid colours look really interesting. Your pattern looks great and innovative with those pleats.

Pleats are classic. I had several pleated skirts back in the day. I still have my Pendelton wool pleated skirts.

I love pleats because they are a neat and tidy way to add a finishing touch. They also are kind of geometric with the sharp lines.

(I've been told I'm a little OCD!)

I like the extra dimension they provide :)

I used to work at a dry cleaners when I was a teenager and my favourite thing was to press the pleats in a heavily pleated skirt. The crispness of them gave me such satisfaction. Okaaay... that was totally random, but it's what first popped into my head when I thought about pleats. :D

I made an apron with a box pleat on the bottom, and I just loved the look. I feels a little more grown-up/modern than ruffles to me.

I don't have alot of experience sewing pleats. I do like how thick it would make the quilt... and for a baby that texture is lovely!

I used to put pleats in skirts, but would never have though of putting them in quilts! What a good idea! Thank you for giving this prize!

I like pleats for the extra dimension and depth they can bring to a quilt. :)

Thanks so much for the giveaway! The real question is, why wouldn't I love pleats?! ;) They add great texture, visual interest, and fun!

I would never have thought to put pleats in a quilt. What a great idea. Wouldn't they be beautiful in an heirloom baby quilt with lace, smocking and embroidery? Thanks for the giveaway.
